Another MIDImage 3 project

Each piece used the same settings: key, mode, time signature, instrumentation, etc.  While they may sound entirely too similar, the differences, if you get beyond the inherent sameness of the tempo and instrumentation, demonstrate how much the image controls the music.

Since the program is only checking Blue values (whether blue in color, or as a component of another color), some instruments may be very sparse or even non-existent in the final music.

  • Key: D#
  • Mode: Mixolydian
  • Tempo 112 bpm
  • Time Signature: 4/4
  • Uses the Blue pixels to create the notes
  • Instrumentation:
    1. Grand Piano
    2. Cello
    3. Grand Piano
    4. Contra Bass
    5. Cello
  • Constraints: 64 measures
  • Scan: Every 6th Pixel

Each piece is a bit over 2 minutes long and they've not been edited in any way (that explains the abrupt endings...not even a fade out...), and no attempt was made to fit the mood of the music to the mood of the image.
